Ordinary Miracles – Fruit and Veg Deliciousness

Yummy couscous! It used to be made from the kernel of the wheat, a hard little nugget that needed some vigorous steaming. This is the fast cook version.. just add to water, for the light and fluffy deliciousness. Chopped into this are Kalamata olives, (pits removed), fresh mint, parsley, red pepper, feta cheese, red onion, green onion, and a generous splotch of sunflower oil. And roasted pecans, or walnuts or…pistachios! Surround in steamed vegetables spritzed with garlic lemon juice. I had the old cheddar cheese grated on mine. The alternative is the BBQ lamb chop,that made a quick dip through the garlic lemon, worchestershire sauce and a swish of salt.

What’s for lunch? Thank you California!  Field greens, orange pepper, green sugar snap peas, green onion, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, yogurt, and black currants (in light syrup, all the way from Poland!)  No salt or pepper… eating slowly to taste the goodness, feel the textures… I lovalovalove food!

navel oranges, clementines, tangerines, mandarins, blood oranges, Valencia oranges  good very good for you! The fountain spray of the orange oil in the the light when they are peeled, makes the lingering aroma on one’s hands.
